PADI Rescue Diver will expand your knowledge and experience beyond purely recreational level because you’ll learn to look beyond yourself and consider the safety and well being of other divers.
PADI Rescue Diver Pre-requisites
- For PADI Rescue Diver course you must have completed the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver certification or an equivalent certification from another organization SSI or CMAS.
- You must be older than the age of 15 to gain the full rescue diver certification.
- People 12-14 may join the course but will only be granted the junior Rescue diver certification. The certification card carries the requirements that the individual must dive with a certified adult.
- Successful completion of a sanctioned CPR program within the past 24 months ie, (EFR or DAN).
What will you do in PADI Rescue Diver course?
Through PADI Rescue Diver training the Pattaya Diving and Fishing Dive Center (Pattaya, Thailand) will prepare you to prevent problems and, if necessary, manage dive emergencies. During the five open water sessions, you’ll cover:
- Self-rescue and diver stress
- dive first aid
- emergency management and equipment
- swimming and non-swimming assists
- panicked diver response
- underwater problems
- missing diver procedures
- surfacing the unconscious diver
- inwater artificial respiration
- egress (exits)
- first aid procedures for pressure related accidents
- dive accident scenarios
How long will the PADI Rescue Diver course take?
PADI Rescue Diver program covers three days of training including two dives in the ocean.
PADI Rescue Diver Material Requirements
You will need the following:
- PADI Rescue Diver Crew-Pak
- PADI Rescue Diver video

After PADI Rescue Diver
The PADI Rescue Diver certification is a prerequisite for all Professional level PADI courses, beginning with the PADI Divemaster certification. Pattaya Diving and Fishing Dive Center (Pattaya, Thailand) offers all PADI courses and certification.
